Pre-registering for this course notifies work2future that you intend to take this course if it is offered. Courses will be offered provided a sufficient number of currently enrolled customers have pre-registered their interest. Final registration for courses will be conducted through a work2future training specialist.

Course Description: The Energy Specialist program offers entry-level training in customer service for the utility industry and certification training to become an energy specialist.  The hours of classrom instruction for the PG&E Energy Specialist curriculum includes components on safety, client relations, creating evergy-use behavior change, and energy education (including physical science background and specific topics in resources and terminology, heat transfer, residential utility rates, natural gas characteristics and safety, and best practices in water and every conservation), measure assessment, customer energy education, customer engagement, and customer satisfaction. A Workforce Institute Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.
